PENETRON Belarus Ramps up Production

The new PENETRON production facility in Gomel, Belarus, was officially inaugurated on July 23, 2015. However, this facility has been producing PENETRON crystalline waterproofing products for several months – and continues to expand output to keep up with demand.

Gomel go-ahead: Igor Chernogolov (center), President of PENETRON Russia, pushes the button to start the production line at the new PENETRON plant in Gomel, Belarus.

"It’s pretty remarkable to get a production facility – from initial talks with Vladimir Semashko, the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, to full production – up and running in only a year,” explains Igor Chernogolov, President of PENETRON Russia and a joint-venture partner in PENETRON-BEL, the newest PENETRON Group company. “We’re now producing not only for the domestic market in Belarus, but also for markets in the neighboring countries of Central and Eastern Europe.”

The quick and problem-free scale-up of production at the Gomel site mirrors the successful launches of the PENETRON production facilities in Yekaterinburg, Russia, and Astana, Kazakhstan. The construction and outfitting of the Belarus site closely followed the layout and production processes already in use at the other two plants, which minimized any potential installation and commissioning issues and accelerated the current growth in production output.

Robert Revera, President and CEO of The PENETRON Group, adds, “This is an exciting event! PENETRON-Belarus is now on the map and running a world-class production facility that not only brings PENETRON crystalline technology to Belarus, but also makes it available for export across the entire region. I congratulate Igor Chernogolov and his team at PENETRON Russia for their support and success.”
