Belarus Nuclear Power Station
Mogilev Region, Belarus
The 2,400 MW nuclear power plant – a first for Belarus – in the Mogilev region of eastern Belarus is expected to go online in 2018. Concrete for the reactor unit 1 was poured in late 2013; construction on the 2nd unit began in mid-2014. The first reactor is expected to be operational by 2018, and the second reactor will go online by 2020.
The PENETRON system of materials was used for an 8-meter (27-feet) thick anchor slab. In addition to the massive reactor structures, PENETRON materials were also used in the foundations of the administrative buildings and residential housing for the power plant employees.
