Description
DHC-AGUAKAN operates the drinking water, sewage and sanitation services in the municipalities of Benito Juárez, Isla Mujeres, and Solidaridad in the state of Cancún, Quintana Roo. DHC-AGUAKAN collects and treats wastewater to ensure that each home in those communities receive quality drinking water. The water treatment center includes 167 catchment wells, 48 drinking water pumping and storage stations, a 2,400 km drinking water distribution network, 60 wastewater re-pumping stations, 8 wastewater treatment plants with a total capacity to treat 883 liters per second, and a 1,580 km wastewater distribution network.
Products Used
Some of the pumping and water treatment stations within the wastewater infrastructure were affected by chemical attacks on the concrete structure, so DHC-AGUAKAN took on the task of finding the best solution. PENECRETE MORTAR and PENETRON were used to waterproof the water tanks.
