Kazanskaya Power Station 2

Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia

Description

The Kazanskaya Thermal Power Station, one of the oldest coal-fired facilities in Russia, first began operations in 1937, with an average output of 360 mW. Over the years, the turbine hall building deteriorated due to excessive moisture, which further damaged the concrete structures and exposed the facility’s fittings to corrosion. The power plant underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2014 and new power generation equipment increased output to 410 mW.

Products Used

All concrete used in the renovated facility structures were treated with PENETRON ADMIX to ensure more durable structures. All resulting construction joints were sealed with PENEBAR SW waterstop.
