Description
A 237-unit luxury apartment mid-rise building (with street-level retail shops) just south of Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile, the Modera Coral Gables has six residential floors above three levels of parking and a large pool on the fourth floor. The construction site was 5’ under the water table, making installation of a bentonite mat impossible. A waterproofing product was needed to allow placement of the concrete into the waterlogged site, despite constantly high heads of water pressure.
Products Used
All below grade concrete structures of the three-level parking garage, including the matt slab on grade and perimeter walls were treated with PENETRON ADMIX. PENEBAR SW-55 was used in all the below grade construction joints and around all intrusions in the slab on grade (concrete foundation slab) and the basement walls. PENETRON technology was also used on the 4th floor pool structure. Within a matter of days, the whole structure was completely dry.
