Description
This temporary stadium hosted swimming and water polo events for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games and the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. The facility had two pools (competition & training), each with about 3.7 million liters of water. After completion of the Games, the stadium was dismantled and its parts used in the construction of two new, different facilities in Brazil.
Products Used
PENETRON ADMIX was added to the concrete for the bottom slab and walls, which served as the base for the pools and facility offices. Approximately 1,000 meters of PENEBAR SW-55 waterstop was used to seal all construction joints.
