Description
After 30 years of constant service, two concrete overspill tanks needed extensive repairs to extend their service life for at least 15 more years. After on-site testing of possible solutions, the project managers selected PENETRON crystalline products to provide comprehensive waterproofing and protection from chemical attack to the internal and external surfaces of the tanks.
Products Used
The internal surfaces were grit-blasted to remove decades of layered surface contamination; the external surfaces underwent a high pressure washing. All cracks were filled with PENECRETE MORTAR; both internal and external surfaces of the tanks were coated with two spray-applied layers of PENETRON crystalline material.
