PENETRON Products Selected for Turkish Hospital Construction Project

Turkey

Penetron products have been selected for a Turkish hospital construction project, beating out at least four competitors. Experience with other projects in the region and cost effectiveness were cited as prime factors.

The Turkish city of Bursa is just a short drive from Istanbul or a ferry ride across the Sea of Marmara. Located in one of the most industrialized regions in Turkey, Bursa is the nation's fourth most populous city and home to three hospitals in the DORUK group.

Penetron has recently signed on to supply its time-tested products to DORUK's hospital construction in Bursa's Nilufer region. Penetron products were chosen after project architects and engineers considered at least four competitors' products. An essential factor in their decision was PENETRON’s crystalline technology, which ensures the concrete’s ability to withstand penetration from underground water in a nearby riverbed and an abundance of underground water draining toward the nearby sea.

Nearly 19,000 kg (20 tons) of PENETRON ADMIX and 3,000 meters (3,281 yd) of PENEBAR SW-55A will be utilized in the construction of the hospital’s foundation, which requires a depth of almost 30 meters (33 yd).

"The DORUK group trusts the security of Penetron protection," said Christopher Chen, Director of The Penetron Group, "Our extensive experience and our success with other similar projects were cited as key factors in the decision to go with Penetron."
