Adjacent to Dubai Marina, exposure to the aggressive marine environment rapidly compromised the durability of the tower’s below-grade concrete. Groundwater pressure, relentless chloride-rich moisture, and time took their toll, threatening the very foundation of this architectural landmark. By 2025, a solution was urgently needed.
Products Used
The repair process began by stopping active water ingress using PENEPLUG, a rapid-setting cementitious repair grout. Cracks and voids were then treated with PENECRETE MORTAR, a crystalline repair mortar that doesn’t simply fill gaps, but triggers a chemical reaction within the concrete, forming insoluble crystals that permanently block water pathways.
