Description
The $16 million upgrade of the ETE Prazeres wastewater treatment plant in Prazeres, Jaboatão dos Guararapes included five pumping stations, treatment tanks, and 61,000 meters of concrete sewage pipes. The ETE Prazeres facility, with a capacity of 112 liters/second, serves a community of 55,000.
Products Used
HECA Construction, the general contractor, used PENETRON ADMIX for all the treatment tanks. A topical application of PENETRON was used to seal tie-holes and any cracks appearing on the surface. The construction joints and concrete pipes were sealed with PENEBAR-SW swellable waterstop strips.
