Description
First opened in 1986, the Heroes of Labor Station of the Kiev Metro network developed multiple leaks almost immediately due to the high water table and hydrostatic pressure. Initially, a system of drainage pipes was installed, but a more effective waterproofing solution was needed to eliminate the leaks.
Products Used
The PENETRON System was applied to the concrete walls, floor slabs and construction joints of the pedestrian tunnels to provide a permanent solution to the water ingress issues. Thanks to the crystalline action of the PENETRON products, which rendered the concrete impermeable, the station is now dry.
