Description
Located in Magadan, in western Siberia above the Arctic Circle, the Siberia Wastewater Treatment Plant serves a city of 96,000 inhabitants. Winters are long and very cold, with up to six months of sub-zero temperatures. Average temperatures range from −38 °C (−36 °F) in January to +16 °C (61 °F) in July. The soil remains permanently frozen; permafrost and tundra cover most of the region.
Products Used
To repair the damaged concrete structures and provide much-needed resistance to the brutal climactic conditions, over 3.5 tons of PENETRON crystalline repair material and PENECRETE MORTAR were applied to all interior and exterior surfaces of the plant’s concrete tanks and structures.
