Wastewater Treatment Plant "Aragón"

Aragon, Mexico

Description

The Aragón wastewater treatment plant, located in the Gustavo A. Madero Mayor's Office, is responsible for treating wastewater north of Mexico City. It belongs to the Mexico City water system and was built in 1959. The treated waters of the San Juan de Aragón plant are used mainly for irrigation of green areas in the San Juan de Aragón forest, irrigation of green areas around the plant and sometimes for car washes and filling the lagoon from the San Juan de Aragón Zoo.

The biggest problem facing this treatment plant today is the subsidence of the land on which it is built. This causes structural movement and cracks to form.

Products Used

Over time, the WWTP suffered many cracks. The Penetron System was employed to seal and repair these cracks. Specifically, PENETRON was used to block an active leak. Cracks inside the tank were repaired with PENETRON INJECTION FOAM.
