On November 15, 2021, Penetron announced the appointment of Blair Jones as Specifications & Technical Development Manager for Penetron North America. Part of the ongoing expansion of the Penetron Technical and Customer Support team, this latest appointment also highlights the company’s strong continued growth across the region.
As an experienced concrete expert who has served the industry for over 25 years, Blair Jones has specialized in cement sales to ready mix producers, pavers, precast companies, soil stabilization contractors, masons, and block producers. As the new Specifications & Technical Development Manager at Penetron, he will manage the technical specifications while building long-term relationships with professionals by offering continuous education and technical support services to the Penetron North America sales team and Penetron clients.

Blair Jones graduated cum laude from Indiana University with a BS in Biomedical Electronics and an AS in Laser Electro Optics from Vincennes University (also Indiana). Blair is CDT-certified, gives AIA presentations to architect/engineering firms regarding concrete specifications, and works with general contractors to ensure understanding of concrete technology specifications. He also has a Level II certification from both the PCA and the KCA, is an ACI Field Testing Technician (Grade 1), is a member of CSI, IRMCA, and the KCA and AGC of Tennessee.
A Collaborative Approach
Blair began his career with Essroc Cement, most recently as Senior Regional Manager. Before joining Penetron, as owner of BCB, an industry consultancy, he advised and worked with clients on mix design and troubleshooting, materials and transportation procurement, while representing industry names that include: Applied Technologies, FabPro Polymers, Forta Fibers, IMCO, ISE Logik, Russtech Admixtures, Stego Industries, and Vapor Lock.
“I use a consultative approach when working with clients and figuring out projects. By understanding customer requirements, developing relationships, and identifying client needs, we can almost always quickly resolve issues and increase mutual benefit,” explains Blair Jones. “I also work to expand the industry’s knowledge base through a number of industry organizational programs.
