The Athlone Stadium (and training ground for the World Cup 2010) is used primarily for soccer / football matches and is the home of the Ajax Cape Town and Santos Cape Town teams. Originally built in 1972 with a 30,000 seating capacity, the stadium underwent extensive renovations in preparation for its use as a training ground for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The architects required a waterproof, but trafficable surface on the walkways covering the utility rooms. PENETRON was applied by brush to the designated areas.
