Description
The modernization of Bridgestone's flagship truck and bus radial tire plant in Warren County, Tennessee, expanded the plant’s footprint by 850,000 ft2, increasing it from 1.97 million to over 2.8 million ft2. Designed by Arcadis, the project architect, the $550 million project enabled the integration of technology for digital tire capabilities, including tire-mounted sensors for more efficient truck fleet management.
Products Used
The mechanical pits at the Bridgestone plant are recessed into the factory floor – and exposed to groundwater intrusion. PENETRON ADMIX SB was specified to treat over 9,300 yds3 of concrete with a long-term waterproofing solution.
