Description
Development of the City Springs project is nothing less than a wholly new city center for Sandy Springs, a suburban city of just over 100,000 inhabitants and part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The innovative project features a civic center with city offices, the City Springs Performing Arts Center, and retail and residential areas, all arranged around the city green and atop an underground parking facility.
Products Used
Mixing PENETRON ADMIX – in soluble bags – into the shotcrete helped save time and ensured a precise mix, as the bags dissolved quickly and completely during batching. The convenience and ease of use of an admixture in soluble bags was specified for the project. The PENETRON-enhanced shotcrete was sprayed on the below-grade foundation walls that comprise the expansive City Springs underground parking facility. Over 2,000 cubic yards (1,530 m3) of shotcrete were treated.
