The Kuznetsk Basin (or Kuzbass) in southwestern Siberia is one of the largest coal mining areas in the world. It is also one of Russia's most important industrial regions, supplying over 59% of the country’s coal – over 200 million tons per year. The new plant will process over one million tons of coal annually and can expand capacity to handle over three million tons.
The Karargaylink plant was recently expanded and updated to increase efficiency and output and at the inauguration ceremony, Aman Tuleyev, governor of Kemerovo Oblast noted: “This new coal plant is outfitted with advanced technology, making it one of the most modern factories in the world.”
PENETRON ADMIX was used to treat the all the concrete structures in the plant’s new foundation and below-grade structures – to ensure a waterproof and durable structure.
