Description

With an overall length of 3,890 m (12,760feet), the new Kuznetsovskiy Tunnel is one of the longest railway tunnels in Russia. It is expected to facilitate a substantial increase in freight traffic along the Eastern Baikal Amur Mainline Railway, which connects Komsomolsk-on-Amur with the seaports of Vanino and Soviet Harbor on the Pacific Coast of Eastern Siberia.


Products Used

PENETRON topical crystalline material, PENEBAR SW waterstop, WATERPLUG and PENEPLUG a fast-acting cementitious leak sealant were used during construction of the tunnel to ensure an impermeable concrete structure for many decades.
