Description
The Lider Express Supermarket chain (with over 80 locations in Chile) sells groceries, home electronics, school supplies, and home supplies – and fast food. The construction of this 4,000 m2 supermarket in Puerto Montt in southern Chile posed a challenge because of the wet climate and high water table at the job site.
Products Used
Because the concrete structures are exposed to high levels of humidity, PENETRON ADMIX was added to the concrete mix and PENETRON crystalline material was applied to 3,200 m2 (34,440 square feet) of concrete surfaces. PENEBAR SW-45 waterstop sealed 1,100 m (3,300 feet) of construction joints.
