Description
The $26.7 million project was designed by GHD, the project engineer. Construction consists of a 120,000 GPD average daily flow wastewater treatment facility for primary, secondary and nutrient removal. The main concrete structures included: influent pumping station, preliminary treatment reservoirs with grit removal and fine screens, aeration tanks for MBR treatment, UV disinfection tanks, sludge storage tank, and flow equalization tank.
Products Used
Once added to the concrete mix, PENETRON ADMIX SB-treated concrete is impermeable, stopping water, effluent, sulfates, and other chemicals from entering the concrete, even under the constant exposure to the hydrostatic pressure encountered in a wastewater treatment plant. Its ability to permanently self-heal microcracks prevents moisture and corrosion related damage from occurring over the service life of the concrete.
