Description
Because the town’s main sewer lagoon – constructed in the 1950s – no longer met state health requirements, the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) mandated the upgrade work. The improvements comprised enlarging the main lagoon, dredging out the settlement on the bottom, and building a treatment plant and improved aeration system.
