Description
The $10 million expansion project for the Nichols Sawmill Road Wastewater Treatment Plant increased the plant’s daily capacity of 650,000 gallons of water to 1.3 million gallons. The wastewater treatment capacity expansions were made to prepare for the growth and development expected to come to Magnolia within the next 10 years.
Products Used
PENETRON ADMIX SB-treated concrete was used for the plant’s new concrete clear well (the final storage tank after the filtration and disinfection stages), where filtered water is held in a storage basin to allow the disinfectant to inactivate any remaining pathogens. The Penetron admixture was chosen over a competitive product based on superior pricing, dosage rate, and packaging.
