Description
The Pampa Sul Thermoelectric Plant will be a landmark for the Southern Half of Rio Grande do Sul, bringing development to the region and generating 340 megawatts of energy and jobs. The main technological difference in relation to other coal-fired thermoelectric plants operating in Brazil is the use of a Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) type boiler, which presents greater flexibility to variations in fuel quality and is the most suitable for coal in the region.
Products Used
For the protection and waterproofing of the tanks, PENETRON crystallization technology was chosen. In the tanks that were already constructed, 6,000 kg of PENETRON and PENECRETE MORTAR were applied internally to waterproof the concrete. In the new tanks, 5,000 kg of PENETRON ADMIX was used for integral waterproofing and PENEBAR SW for the sealing of concrete joints and metal inserts.
