Description
The Recreational Swim Center in Galați, one of Romania’s largest cities, is located on the shores of the Danube River. Because of this close proximity to the river, when the Danube River level rises, water quickly seeps into the concrete structures of the Swim Center. The muddy river water infiltrates through the joints between concrete slabs of the pool structure.
Products Used
To quickly stop river water infiltration, the fast-curing PENEPLUG compound was used on the active leaks. The remaining cracks were sealed with PENECRETE MORTAR and PENETRON crystalline waterproofing material. This comprehensive treatment stopped all water penetration without requiring a recasting of the pool bottom.
