Description
The $112.6 million expansion of the Southeast Wastewater Treatment Plant, which increased the plant’s average daily treatment capacity from three million gallons per day (MGD) to six MGD, consisted of new headworks, new biological basins, a new clarifier and rehabilitation of the three existing clarifiers, rehabilitation of the existing RAS/WAS pump stations and new WAS pump stations, new chlorine contact chambers and effluent pump station, a new sludge holding tank and modifications to the existing sludge holding tank, and more.
Products Used
PENETRON ADMIX SB was specified during the planning phase thanks to proven success with similar wastewater treatment plant projects. The admixture was used to treat 3,500 yds3 of concrete to protect the concrete structures exposed to the aggressive environment of the effluent.
