Two Mile Wall

Columbus, OH, USA

Description

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has constructed numerous sound walls using PENETRON technology. The most recent project, a two-mile-segment on Interstate 70 just east of Columbus, Ohio combines concrete durability with a pleasing exterior design. PENETRON has helped complete approximately 15 sound wall projects for the ODOT.

Products Used

The majority of Ohio’s sound walls are concrete with a waterproofing admixture. PENETRON ADMIX was also used to enhance flexibility of the wall construction by allowing the application of many of the different aesthetic coatings to the finished walls.
