Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Located on the Jeddah Corniche overlooking the Red Sea, the Shangri-La Hotel (footprint: 15,000 m2 / 161,500 square feet) is the first “green” hotel in Saudi Arabia. The 260 m (60 feet) high tower has 250 luxury guest rooms and suites. The hotel also includes two restaurants, a 1,000 m2 (10,800 square feet) ball room, a wellness center and spa, fitness center and a swimming pool.
Approximately 30,000 m3 (39,300 yds3) of concrete were treated with PENETRON ADMIX and PENECRETE MORTAR. The treated concrete was used in the foundation, the water storage tanks and swimming pool.
